For someone who had promised to “drop bombs” when he appeared before the Madlanga commission, Fadiel Adams’s performance this week was fit for a repeat Mampara.
The man made so many concessions about being wrong on many of his assumptions regarding some of the country’s finest cops that it is now hard to tell what he actually believes.
But perhaps the most telling statement he made was when he said to evidence leader Lee Segeels-Ncube, unprovoked: “No, no, no, I’m lying. Sorry, man, I’m lying.”
To which she gave a perfect response: “Yes, you are lying — and I wasn’t even trying to catch you out in a lie.”
Pinocchio Mampara, he is.
