Kingsmead College will host its 11th annual book fair on May 27, in association with Standard Bank — Wealth and Investment, Timberland and media partner Hot 102.7.
This year, the Johannesburg school celebrates its 90th anniversary, with the fair taking on its theme of courage, which doesn't always involve big, bold actions. It can be about small acts that are meaningful to an individual.

It could be never having read a particular genre of book, for example, poetry or biography, and having the courage to take that first step. It could be that a self-help book provides the courage to undertake something one has avoided.
Organisers hope this year’s programme provides a mixture of comfort and courage. Explore new genres and attend sessions you may not have in the past — be courageous with your choices, they say, adding: “We hope our programme will inspire and strengthen, infusing us with qualities we never knew we had.”
