WANDAVISION

An ode to American golden era '50s television that’s also a superhero origins story, this small-screen series from the Marvel Comics Universe is smart, engaging and inventive. It offers charming fun and a clever examination of pertinent issues such as grief and mental illness that make it more than just another show for diehard comic fans.

PAM & TOMMY

This high energy, star-studded drama is based on the astounding true story of the infamous Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee sex tape told by Rolling Stone journalist Amanda Chicago Lewis. Refocused through the lens of hindsight it’s a rollicking tale of revenge, early internet pornography and the misogynist media treatment of the scandal and its effects on the woman at its centre that also features what may be the first on-screen dialogue between a man and his talking appendage.

However, you’d be doing yourself a disservice because director Peter Jackson’s extensive and freewheeling documentary succeeds in offering arguably the most intimate and informative look at the creative workings of the most famous band in history, by just letting them be.
