With its dizzying multiplicity of musical idioms and cross-pollinating influences, The Joy of Jazz is the City of Gold's most exciting music festival, bringing together some of the world's best musos.

ROBERT GLASPER
Headlining The Conga Stage, Glasper, with five Grammys and 12 nominations across 11 categories, straddles all aspects of the music business, from touring to film scoring, composing and producing. His breakout crossover album Black Radio changed the face of the genre and set a new expectation for what jazz could be.
ANDREAS VOLLENWEIDER AND FRIENDS
The Dinaledi Stage will be headlined by the most successful cross-over musician of his generation, the Grammy Award-winning Swiss harpist and friends Ayanda Nhlangothi, Vusi Nhlapo and Vuyo Tshuma. They'll present the Mzansi version of the grand doo-wop tradition. Meanwhile, the Grand Stage will feature trumpeter, multi-band leader and composer Marcus Wyatt and KwaZulu-Natal-born guitar maestro, Ernie Smith.

TRIBUTES
Guitarist Billy Monama pays tribute to Allen Kwela, joined by special guests Titi Luzipo and Mimi Mtshali.
The Hugh Masekela Band will honour the late, great trumpeter.
Titi Luzipo will perform in a tribute to Gloria Bosman, celebrating the recently departed singer and composer.
Max-Hoba will present a tribute to Jabu Khanyile.
THE MBIRA STAGE
Will feature Ami Faku, Langa Mavuso, Samthing Soweto and the voice of our contemporary political conscience Simphiwe Dana.

DJs
Groove to DJ Happy J, Di Castro and inimitable master of the vinyl disc DJ Kenzhero Experience, featuring Melo B Jones on vocals and drum machine, and Me-Ko on keys and trumpet. Lounge and house heads will love Breakfast at Khujos.
LOCAL IS LEKKER
McCoy Mrubata and his album Brasskap feature on the Joy of Jazz stage, which includes Hlubi Kwebulana, Lwanda Gogwana, Jabu Magubane, Gareth Harvey, Wandile Molefe, Nhlanhla Radebe and Bernice Boikanyo.
Zoe Modiga and bassist Carlo Mombelli also bring their unique brand of jazz, as do R&B and Afro-soul singer Zonke and Buhle Bendalo of The Soil fame.
