Pieter Toerien along with Cape Town Opera presents the world’s most-loved musical — Lerner and Loewe’s musical theatre masterpiece My Fair Lady. Based on Gabriel Pascal’s 1938 film adaptation of George Bernard Shaw’s 1913 play Pygmalion, the play premiered on Broadway in 1956. Boasting a score containing such timeless songs as I Could Have Danced All Night, Get Me to the Church on Time, Wouldn’t It Be Loverly, I’m Just An Ordinary Man, On the Street Where You Live, Show Me, The Rain in Spain, and I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face, this grand local production is set to enthral audiences of all ages.
