RECIPE: Pimms cocktail

Pimms is like fruit salad in a refreshing gin-based drink. It'll make you think of Wimbledon and hot sunny days

Makes: 10-12 glasses

Prep time: 12-15 mins

Ingredients:

2 oranges, rinsed, quartered, sliced and pips removed

cucumber, rinsed and thinly sliced

5-10 strawberries (or other berries of your choice) rinsed, hulled and halved

10-12 small sprigs fresh mint

500ml (2 cups) Pimms

6 cups lemonade (or mix lemonade with ginger ale)

Method:

  1. Put the fruit and mint in a large (3l) jug or glass dispenser.
  2. Pour in the Pimms and lemonade. Stir and add plenty of ice.
  3. To serve, pour into long glasses, ensuring each glass has some fruit, a sprig of mint and blocks of ice.
