CANCER (June 21 — July 22)

OK, so your home life is not exactly what you had in mind. But the gods of employment, learning, fabulous new offers and an eventual money plan are saving their magic especially for you. Just as well. Money’s been reticent lately and will take a few months to come back into the fold. Get your portfolio renewed during Thursday’s powerful Full Moon. Write a list of plans. And thank the universe in advance. Just to make sure.

LEO (Jul 23 — Aug 22)

This is the week to trust your instincts. So if you’re thinking career change or large-scale investments, demand all the details — and tune in. If anything feels even vaguely dodgy, walk away. Meanwhile, that problem at work should resolve itself under Thursday’s demanding Full Moon. All that’s left is for you to forgive and let it go. No point allowing pride to ruin a good friendship. Besides, as you well know, it takes two to create a drama.

VIRGO (Aug 23 — Sep 22)

Love is giving you trouble. So take note: you may not be seeing things as clearly as you thought. And instead of blaming luck or fate for your appalling choices, try seeing the lovers in a different light. Focus on what you liked about them in the first place. Please note that you can’t change them. But you can change yourself. Start by taking your power back under Thursday’s delightful Full Moon. Then you’ll understand.

LIBRA (Sep 23 — Oct 22)

That peculiar sensation that life is moving at lightning speed is enough to unnerve the most self-contained of Librans. Focus on something workable — your love life. Because even though relationships are being tested now (an understatement), you’ll at least know what you’re dealing with. And for the rest, Thursday’s Full Moon has plans of its own. Make a list of your deepest desires. Remind yourself you deserve the very best.

SCORPIO (Oct 23 — Nov 21)

Career changes — upheavals, even — come with Thursday’s powerful Full Moon. Now’s your chance to harness an energy that’s allowing access to all your intuitive gifts while sending your logic on a well-earned vacation. Do you turn into an idiot — or finally discover your brilliance? It’s up to you. Either way, save 15 minutes for a love life that’s finally picking up. Understanding is what’s needed. And tolerance.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 — Dec 21)

Career is front of mind — for a change. You’ve put down your toys, your books, your hundred interests to focus on a project that’s finally going your way. And because the love life seems fine, it’s being ignored. Be careful not to take love for granted, though. The occasional romantic surprise wouldn’t go amiss. But back to that fabulous career. Does it need a few tweaks? Are there details to be fixed? Pay attention. Thursday’s interesting Full Moon has news.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22 — Jan 19)

Thursday’s Capricorn Full Moon brings genius — and imbalance. Your ideas are brilliant, and your actions peculiar in the extreme. Use the week to make notes — in preparation for further options next month. Your intuition is great, your logic is slightly off, and your instincts are way ahead of their time. A disaster? Or a precursor to the best time of your life? Slowly does it. The relationships could be in a completely different place by this time next year.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20 — Feb 18)

An important goal needs to be scored. And this one is too good to waste. So put down your pride and call in the reserves. Your partners — personal or business — will help. Even so, that determination to stick to your principles could make you more unpopular than you expected. So make sure “principle” is not just another word for “ego”. Then hang in till the wind changes. Thursday’s fascinating Full Moon will send clues.

PISCES (Feb 19 — Mar 20)

No longer is the “new” disruptive and confusing. Suddenly you’re ready to take on the revolutionary with a contagious enthusiasm — and to incorporate new experiences into your thought patterns. So, yes, learn something different. Then make a list of your dreams and start behaving as though they’ve already come true. The magician in you wants out. Thursday’s creative Full Moon will show you how it’s done.

ARIES (Mar 21 — Apr 19)

If you’re involved in a partnership, check up on who’s doing what. You may find more than half the work has been left to you — and the business is going down the tubes while you’re sipping tea. Not that there’s anything long-term to fret about. The rescue team is already climbing into battle dress. All you need do is stay honest and buy a round of drinks. Thursday’s Full Moon will help where it’s needed.

TAURUS (April 20 — May 20)

If you’ve got deals to sign, save them for Thursday, when the Full Moon will help. You’ll have to restrain yourself from making rash decisions before then. Your mind is whirling like a dervish — and making about as much sense. Even so, creative genius is yours for the taking. Write down inspirational ideas as they come to you. If you don’t, they’ll be gone in a flash — and lost forever. Trust is the key.

GEMINI (May 21 — June 20)

Pointless arguments about issues you have no interest in offer one option for your week. And don’t laugh. You’ve forgotten how quickly you lash out when your buttons are pushed. So instead of planning a string of witty-yet-cutting remarks, go off somewhere and count your money. The numbers should be increasing. Look for subtle clues — but hold off on the big decisions. The planets are playing with your head. Let Thursday’s Full Moon straighten you out.

Your Chart

Norma Sithole (April 30 1988, Soweto, 11.55pm)

Sun sign: Taurus

Moon sign: Libra

Rising sign: Aquarius

Stubborn little flower, aren’t you? Like things your own way, do you? Nothing wrong with that, as long you remember that you sometimes need people on your side to help get your wishes granted. Which means compromise is an occasional part of the deal. You’re about to begin a new cycle, so opportunities should be arriving any time now. Part of you yearns to be the kind of woman who paints her nails and fetches the kids.

A beautiful home complete with stylish extras are essential to your happiness. And that would be fine, were it not for that rebellious, independent personality that sabotages your best efforts.

There’s a side to you that needs to rush off and be eccentric when no-one’s looking. Your career path is changeable, as your passions grow and shift with experience. One thing is certain, though: you won’t be able to stay with a career you’re not passionate about. And then there’s that temper. Ever heard of anger management? For now, meanwhile, think about travel, adventure and exploration as your next goals. Look around. Be flexible.
