FALL GUY FALLS SHORT OF THE TRUTH

Bruce Koloane earned two accolades: Mampara of the Week and a gold star on his forehead from Jacob Zuma for being his No1 fall guy. Six years since the Gupta family illegally landed a plane at the Waterkloof Air Force Base, Koloane still proclaims the former president's innocence in this dark saga.

He told the state capture inquiry this week that he name-dropped No1 (a reference to Zuma) to pressure air force officers to allow a plane carrying guests of Zuma's buddies to land at the base. We'd be more convinced if Zuma hadn't rewarded him with a cushy ambassadorial post at The Hague.

To think Koloane still has the audacity to lie to South Africans while we fund his luxurious "get out of jail free" pass in the Netherlands. Bring this mampara back home.
