Hell hath no fury like a Zuma scorned
What do you do when someone you claim is your friend publicly denies it? You bring in your lawyer to dispute the denial and assert your affection.
But when you are Jacob Zuma and the lawyer is Muzi Sikhakhane, it can be hard to persuade anyone that they like you.
Which is why deputy chief justice Raymond Zondo remained unconvinced at the state capture commission this week.
Upon being spurned, Zuma and Sikhakhane felt so hurt that they left the commission forthwith, not to be seen again — unless Zondo decides to summon the alleged friend for a not-so-pally encounter.
Zuma might be back in the dock one day, but today he is back in the mampara dock.
And he should be used to it. After all, he is an old friend here.
