Mampara of the week: Bonginkosi Madikizela & Co

A high degree of failure

A high degree of failure

Ordinarily, Western Cape transport MEC Bonginkosi Madikizela would have walked off alone with the coveted mampara title for admitting that he lied about having completed a BCom degree.

But the handling of the saga by the premier of the Western Cape, Alan Winde, and the party was just comedic. How long has Madikizela had this false claim on his CV? Did Winde only discover it after the transport MEC raised his hand for the Cape Town mayoral position? How convenient.

How about Natasha Mazzone? Will the DA investigate whether she also lied about a law degree and secretly doctored her Wikipedia page? What a cock-up. Anyway, what did we expect from a party led by people who are averse to education?
