Scribe moves to the truly dark side

He used to put tough questions to Eskom when he was in the newsroom. His presence at press conferences used to give former Eskom execs the jitters.

That’s until he swapped the notebook for a role on the other side, as Eskom’s official mouthpiece. Now Sikonathi Mantshantsha finds himself having to constantly defend what he used to question.

He sounds like a broken record each time there’s load-shedding, harping on about how Eskom needs to continuously maintain its plants to prevent a total breakdown. Yada yada!

Truth of the matter is that the Eskom you are now spiritedly defending has let the nation down big time and failed the economy. You sound more comical with every attempt at spinning a failing Eskom out of this load-shedding mess.
