Mampara of the week: Paul O’Sullivan

Just answer the question, or not

Paul O’Sullivan may be a good sleuth — in fact he has proven himself to be a great one in the fight against corruption and state capture — but he sure made a Mampara of himself this week.

His decision to abandon an interview with SABC TV presenter Sakina Kamwendo just because he did not like one of her questions is not going to do him any favours, especially in the eyes of those who already accuse him of arrogance.

Even if he thought the question was dodgy — it wasn’t — he could have declined to answer without abruptly terminating the interview like a person who does not want to be held accountable.

Only Mamparas believe themselves to be above being questioned. You could have done better, Mampara O’Sullivan.
