North West residents should be consoled by the fact that this bushy Mampara is merely warming up the seat for his boss, ANC provincial chair Nono Maloyi, who will take over as premier next year.

The caretaker premier proved why he should not come back after next year's elections when, given a rare opportunity to address a national audience at the Sona debate, he opined: “We, as South Africans, are aware that we do not have electricity but we are prepared to buy a generator to ensure that we operate. That is what we want to hear from South Africans.”

Maape told MPs buying generators should be a business model adopted in the country for businesses to make it through. First, this is an admission that his government is so useless they have given up on fixing the power crisis.

Second, How many South Africans can afford to buy generators when the majority are drowning in poverty? What Bushy has Maape been hiding under?
