Jacob Zuma sent a political novice named Jabulani Khumalo to the IEC to pretend to be the leader of a new party. This was a ploy to fool the suits at Luthuli House into not objecting to the registration of the party, as Khumalo was a nonentity.
Zuma eventually forced Khumalo out after suspecting he was making deals with ANC comrades behind his back. But now that the MK Party has received more than 2-million votes, Khumalo is fighting tooth and nail to reclaim it from Zuma.
The courts have dismissed every application this Mampara has filed. But he keeps on appealing — insisting he is the rightful leader of the party.
Zuma's backers down in the kingdom, who have an appetite for looting and rioting, have challenged Khumalo to come and address them to show he is their true leader — an invitation he won't honour if he knows what's good for him.
