On the occasion of her state of the city address, Tshwane mayor Nasiphi Moya — whose PR staff call her “Boss Lady” — chose to parade through the city in a motley cavalcade of horses, motor bikes and emergency trucks. City mandarins thought it wise to post the spectacle on X.
If it was meant to impress Moya’s fellow citizens, the stunt fell flat, with many calling on her to focus on fixing the city’s electricity problems — and reminding her she’s not “royalty”, but a servant of the people.
The pomp and ceremony, while residents battle service delivery problems, qualifies her for Mamparadom.
