The love-hate relationship between Kaizer Chiefs and their beleaguered coach, Nasreddine Nabi, hit another low this week when the club red-carded the Tunisian for failing to update an expired coaching badge.
Small wonder the Chiefs car has crashed in several disheartening defeats that drew ridicule from opposition fans, who wasted little time in declaring the driver was on the road with fraudulent papers.
Though social media was later flooded with pictures of a Uefa Pro coaching convention that expires in 2026, Nabi’s failure to update his coach licence was a Mampara own goal by a man who considers himself among the sharpest tools in the coaching shed.
