Music mogul Sello “Chicco’’ Twala is well versed in showbiz, so it’s not surprising that he turned his arrest this week on charges of pointing a gun at City Power workers into a PR stunt. Twala appears to live in a world where there is one law for him and another for the rest of us.
Granted, law and order is on the back foot in SA, but that doesn’t give us the freedom to behave as if we lived in the jungle. Brazenly, Twala issued a statement from his cell, claiming his arrest was proof he was not a “mafia behind Senzo Meyiwa's killing”.
And the gun with which he threatened the City Power team was a toy. The more this Mampara tries to spin, the more he comes across as a real mafioso. Stop digging!
