What do you get when you cross a hopeless Bafana Bafana team, an inept football leadership, and a coach who should have known better?
You get the disaster that was Hugo Broos’s media conference on Tuesday. Still pained at being outclassed by Morocco in an African Cup of Nations qualifier, Broos went on a boorish tirade about the poor quality of the Premier Soccer League and how the country is not producing enough quality players able to compete at top level.
Boohoo! Tell us something we didn’t know. What did you expect when you accepted the job of managing a bunch of no-hopers?
Broos said we must shoot him if Bafana don’t qualify for Afcon 2023 and the World Cup in 2026. We don’t condone violence, but Broos must think first before shooting from the lip.
