The Springboks have “united a nation” of 62-million supporters with their impressive run at the 2023 Rugby World Cup in Paris.

Supporters flocked to bars, stadiums and outdoor spaces on Saturday night as the Springboks took on New Zealand's All Blacks in the highly-anticipated final in Paris.

The Springboks beat the All Blacks by a single point to lift the Webb Ellis Cup for a fourth time.

Politicians, celebrities, fellow sports stars and ordinary citizens all shared messages of support for the Boks ahead of the clash, as they sought to repeat their impressive feat in Japan.

The Springboks and the All Blacks have met 105 times but Saturday was only the second time they contested the right to hold the cup aloft.

The last time the teams met in the final proved seminal for South African rugby in 1995.
